Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Arbin MITS Pro, BaSyTec, MATLAB, Python with pandas and Gamry Echem Analyst, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures: electrical and ageing characterisation of cells, abuse and thermal propagation testing, and BMS validation using HIL. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: UN 38.3, IEC 62660-1, UNECE R100, IEC 62660-2, IEC 62619, ISO 12405-4, UL 9540A, ISO/IEC 17025.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of UN 38.3, IEC 62660-1 and UNECE R100 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Arbin MITS Pro, BaSyTec, MATLAB, Python with pandas and Gamry Echem Analyst, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A complete battery validation programme, from test requirements to electrical, life and safety testing and quality recommendations, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
