Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is pandapower, PowerFactory, EPANET, MATPOWER and AnyLogic, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures for N-1 and N-k contingency analysis on test networks, simulation of cascading failures between infrastructures and service restoration plan exercises. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: Directive (EU) 2022/2557, Directive (EU) 2022/2555 (NIS2), Regulation (EU) 2017/2196, Regulation (EU) 2017/1485 (SO GL), ISO 22301:2019, ISO 31000:2018, IEC 62351, Ley 8/2011 de protección de infraestructuras críticas.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Directive (EU) 2022/2557, NIS2 and Regulation (EU) 2017/2196 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:pandapower, PowerFactory, EPANET, MATPOWER and AnyLogic, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a digital twin of a critical system with a contingency catalogue, an emergency and restoration plan and optimised reinforcement measures, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
