Preventive maintenance course for electric fleets — studying from Canada

Canada is building capacity in electric vehicles, battery manufacturing and hydrogen technologies, supported by federal and provincial investment. Ontario's automotive corridor is attracting battery cell and materials projects, while Québec and British Columbia have strong hydro-powered grids and clean technology clusters. Hydrogen research and fuel cell development are active in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. Engineers work on battery systems, charging infrastructure, power electronics and energy storage, with employers including automakers, cell manufacturers and utilities.

Fees for Canada: 1,240 CA$ (Canadian dollar), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine it with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. The working software is Geotab, Samsara, IBM Maximo, GMAO Prisma and Power BI, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: designing the preventive plan for an urban fleet, analysing battery telematics data and auditing a fleet workshop. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrating project.

Standards covered: UNE-EN 13306, ISO 55001, UNE-EN 13460, UNE-EN 50110-1, Real Decreto 614/2001, ISO 6469-3, Real Decreto 920/2017.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of UNE-EN 13306, ISO 55001 and UNE-EN 13460 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Geotab, Samsara, IBM Maximo, GMAO Prisma, Power BI, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a maintenance plan for an electric fleet, from criticality analysis and the preventive plan to predictive monitoring, costs and implementation, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
