Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme is compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is LS-DYNA, Simcenter Madymo, Oasys PRIMER, THESEUS-FE and XSENSOR, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures: sled tests with instrumented dummies, seat pressure maps and transmissibility, and comfort tests with a thermal manikin. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: UNECE Regulation No. 16, UNECE Regulation No. 14, UNECE Regulation No. 17, UNECE Regulation No. 129, UNECE Regulation No. 94, ISO 7730, ISO 2631-1, ISO 6487.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of UNECE Regulations No. 16, No. 14 and No. 17 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:LS-DYNA, Simcenter Madymo, Oasys PRIMER, THESEUS-FE and XSENSOR, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:a complete seat and restraint system concept, validated through comfort and crash simulation, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
