Ergonomics course applied to user safety
Online course of 300 hours in ergonomics applied to rider safety, 6 modules covering rider ergonomics and anthropometry, physical loads and comfort, interface and cognitive load, ergonomics and active safety, and assessment methods, with an assigned technical tutor.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Apply anthropometry to the design and set-up of motorcycles.
Assess postural loads, vibration and thermal comfort.
Analyse the cognitive load of interfaces and controls.
Relate ergonomics to active safety.
Use standardised ergonomic assessment methods.
Propose adaptations for riders with special needs.
Produce a complete ergonomic study of a motorcycle.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme fits around your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. The working software is Siemens Jack, RAMSIS, Kinovea and Ergonautas (RULA/REBA), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Real procedures are studied: measuring the ergonomic triangle, measuring handlebar and seat vibration, and evaluating interfaces with users. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.
Standards covered: ISO 6385, ISO 11226, ISO 2631-1, ISO 5349-1, UNE-EN ISO 7250-1, ISO 15008, UNECE Regulation No. 60.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Frequently asked questions
The programme totals 300 hours over 3 months. You set your own pace within each intake, and your tutor helps you plan the workload around your job.
You work with Siemens Jack, RAMSIS, Kinovea and Ergonautas (RULA/REBA), using free, academic or evaluation versions. Your tutor indicates the free alternative wherever one exists.
A SEIUM Institute certificate, awarded on passing the continuous assessment and the final project. It is SEIUM's own qualification, not an official state degree; its recognition depends on the programme completed and the regulations of each country.
Yes. Modules passed are recognised in a higher programme in the same area (postgraduate diploma or master's). Ask about the recognition policy when you enrol.
No prior qualification is required; you need an internet connection, a computer able to run the programme software and English sufficient to read technical standards.
