ABS course for motorcycles: operation and safety
Online course of 300 hours in motorcycle ABS: operation and safety. 6 modules covering anti-lock principles, ABS components, cornering ABS and inertial platforms, functional safety and regulations, and diagnosis and maintenance, with UNECE Regulation No 78, Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 and TEXA IDC5 Bike, with an assigned technical tutor.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain the operating principle of ABS on motorcycles.
Identify the components of an ABS system and their function.
Describe how cornering ABS works with an inertial platform.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is TEXA IDC5 Bike, Vector CANoe, MATLAB/Simulink, BikeSim and PicoScope 7 Automotive, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures: diagnosing ABS faults in the workshop, braking tests with data logging and failure mode analysis of brake systems. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final project.
Standards covered: UNECE Regulation No 78, Regulation (EU) No 168/2013, Delegated Regulation (EU) No 3/2014, ISO 12364, ISO 26262, UNECE Regulation No 10, Royal Decree 920/2017.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
