How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine the programme with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is CIVA, Zetec UltraVision, WeldEye and Minitab, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures for phased array ultrasonic inspection, procedure qualification testing and digital radiography of joints. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrated project.

Standards covered: ISO 3834-2:2021, ISO 15614-1:2017, ISO 5817:2023, ISO 9606-1:2017, ISO 17640:2018, ISO 9712:2021, ASME BPVC Section IX and AWS D1.1/D1.1M.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ISO 3834-2:2021, ISO 15614-1:2017 and ISO 5817:2023 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:CIVA, Zetec UltraVision, WeldEye and Minitab, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete quality control plan for a welded assembly, from procedures and qualifications to the final dossier, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
