How you'll learn

The programme is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so it fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ReliaSoft BlockSim, Isograph Reliability Workbench, Windchill Risk and Reliability and Minitab, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: FMECA of a running gear, operational availability analysis of a fleet and evaluation of field failure data. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: MIL-STD-882E, MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-1629A, MIL-HDBK-338B, EN 50126, IEC 60812, IEC 61508, MIL-STD-810H.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of MIL-STD-882E, MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-1629A and IEC 61508 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:ReliaSoft BlockSim, Isograph Reliability Workbench, Windchill Risk and Reliability and Minitab, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete RAMS project for a land vehicle, with reliability analysis, system FMECA, availability calculation, hazard log and final RAMS plan, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
