How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Elcometer ElcoMaster, Lightroom Classic, Advanced Excel, Canva, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real paint thickness measurement procedures before polishing, gloss control with a gloss meter, and preparation of a vehicle for a concours d'elegance. Assessment is continuous across each module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Identify the types of period paint and finishes and their sensitivity.
Apply washing and decontamination processes that do not damage original surfaces.
Measure paint thickness before any correction.
Correct paint defects with a conservative approach and minimal abrasion.
Select waxes, sealants and coatings compatible with older paints.
