Diploma in OT Cybersecurity for Military Vehicles — studying from the United States

Defense engineering is a major pillar of the American economy, with strong clusters in Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, Connecticut and California. Prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems Inc. develop land, air and naval systems for the Department of Defense. Work spans vehicle design, weapons integration, survivability and secure systems, governed by strict security and procurement rules. Engineers in this field often hold or pursue security clearances, which shapes career paths and project access.

Fees for the United States: 1,000 US$ (US Dollars), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so it fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Vector CANoe, Wireshark, SavvyCAN and python-can, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for TARA of land platforms, fuzzing tests on HIL benches and configuration audits of control units. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: IEC 62443-3-3, ISO/SAE 21434:2021, STANAG 4754, IEC 62443-4-2, NIST SP 800-82 Rev. 3, UNECE R155, DEF STAN 23-009, SAE J1939.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of IEC 62443-3-3, ISO/SAE 21434:2021 and STANAG 4754 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Vector CANoe, Wireshark, SavvyCAN and python-can, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:A cybersecurity case for a military vehicle, from TARA to secure maintenance and response plan, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
