Jacket and Monopile Engineering Course — studying from Singapore
Singapore is one of the world's busiest ports and a major centre for marine and offshore engineering, including ship repair, shipbuilding for specialised vessels and offshore platform services. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore regulates shipping, port operations and marine safety. Engineers work on naval architecture, marine systems, offshore structures and vessel design. Employers include shipyards and offshore engineering firms clustered in the Tuas and Benoi areas.
Fees for Singapore: 655 S$ (Singapore dollar), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

Questions from Singapore
What does the final project involve?
Each programme concludes with a final project that applies the course material to a practical engineering problem, supported by your technical tutor.
In what currency are fees shown?
Fees on this site are shown in Singapore dollars (SGD). Instalment plans are available, and some learners explore employer sponsorship.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Select between monopile and jacket according to water depth, soil and wind turbine.
Design piles using p-y and PISA methods based on geotechnical data.
Size a monopile against buckling, natural frequencies and fatigue.
Check tubular jacket joints for strength and fatigue.
Apply DNV, IEC and ISO standards for offshore foundations.
Plan the fabrication, transport and driving of foundations.
Develop the foundation design for an offshore wind turbine.

How you'll learn
Fully 100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Bentley SACS, Plaxis 3D, OpenFAST, DNV Sesam, Abaqus, in free, academic or evaluation versions. The exercises work through real geotechnical design procedures for a monopile, fatigue analysis of tubular joints and pile driving planning. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
