How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Audacity (sound analysis), Room EQ Wizard (acoustic measurement), PicoScope (electrical diagnosis), Fusion 360 (part reproduction), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for measuring horn sound levels, electrical test benches for klaxons, and verification of air horn compressors. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Classify vintage horns and klaxons by operating principle.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in audible warning devices.
Dismantle and restore the diaphragm and vibrator mechanism.
Recover original finishes while respecting authenticity.
Restore air horns and their compressors.
