How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Autodesk Civil 3D, PTV Vissim, QGIS, iRAP ViDA, in free, academic or evaluation versions. The case studies are based on real road safety audit procedures for a mountain road section frequented by motorcyclists, selection of a motorcyclist protection system on a bend, and skid resistance testing of road markings. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Analyse the road factors that influence motorcyclist accident rates.
Apply safe alignment and geometric design criteria for two-wheeled vehicles.
Assess pavements and road markings from the point of view of grip.
Select containment systems with protection for motorcyclists.
Identify hazardous elements on verges and in signage.
