How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ReliaSoft Weibull++, Minitab, Ansys Sherlock, Fluke Ansur, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for climatic chambers and thermal shock, accelerated life test rigs, dielectric strength tests and leakage current measurements. Assessment is continuous across each module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Apply statistical reliability models to the product life cycle.
Design accelerated life tests with justified acceleration factors.
Plan mechanical and environmental tests according to the IEC 60068 series.
Evaluate the electrical safety of medical equipment in accordance with IEC 60601-1.
Verify the safety of consumer electronics according to IEC 62368-1.
Where this takes you
