How you'll learn
Training 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is dSPACE SCALEXIO with AutomationDesk, NI VeriStand, Siemens SIMIT, Siemens NX Mechatronics Concept Designer, Typhoon HIL, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Case studies are based on real SIL test procedures for a PLC programme with a plant model, an HIL campaign with fault injection, and virtual commissioning of a robotised cell. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Distinguish the MIL, SIL, PIL and HIL testing levels and their application.
Configure SIL environments with virtual PLCs and plant models.
Design HIL benches with I/O emulation and fault injection.
Orchestrate automated test campaigns using ASAM standards.
Build virtual machine benches for commissioning.
Where this takes you
