Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, making it compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original regulation and applied exercises. The working software is IBM DOORS, Siemens Teamcenter, Microsoft SharePoint and Atlassian Confluence, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures for drafting design organisation handbooks, classifying design changes and planning certification programmes. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final project.

Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, Regulation (EU) 748/2012 (Part-21), AMC and GM to Part-21, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/201, CS-25, EN 9100:2018, Regulation (EU) 376/2014.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, Regulation (EU) 748/2012 (Part-21) and the AMC and GM to Part-21 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:IBM DOORS, Siemens Teamcenter, Microsoft SharePoint and Atlassian Confluence, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:the design of a Part-21J organisation, from the regulatory gap analysis to the DOH structure, key procedures, product certification plan and EASA application plan, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Organisation scope and gap analysis
Define the design organisation and its scope, and identify the regulatory gaps against Part-21J.
DOH and key procedures
Structure the Design Organisation Handbook and draft the key system procedures.
Product certification plan
Plan the certification of a product with its certification basis and means of compliance.
Change classification and indicators
Build the change classification matrix and the DOA performance indicators.
Final project
Present the EASA application plan and the full organisation design in a final report reviewed by your tutor.
