RCM Course: Reliability-Centred Maintenance — studying from New Zealand
Regulation, safety and reliability engineering is well established in New Zealand, underpinned by a strong regulatory framework for health and safety, transport, building and electrical equipment. WorkSafe New Zealand administers workplace health and safety law, while Standards New Zealand develops and publishes national standards. Professionals in this area support compliance, certification and risk assessment for manufacturers, infrastructure operators and public agencies.
Fees for New Zealand: 1,040 NZ$ (New Zealand dollar), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

Questions from New Zealand
Can I pay in New Zealand dollars?
Yes. Fees on this site are shown in NZD, and instalment plans and employer sponsorship are available.
Do I get support during my studies?
Yes. Each learner is assigned a dedicated technical tutor, and programmes include a final project built around a practical problem.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain the fundamentals and criteria of RCM according to SAE JA1011.
Define functions, functional failures and failure modes of an asset.
Evaluate failure consequences and select maintenance tasks.
Calculate maintenance intervals using Weibull analysis.
Use standardised failure data according to ISO 14224.
Implement an RCM programme with continuous improvement.
Develop a complete RCM analysis for a system.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ReliaSoft RCM++, Isograph RCMCost, ReliaSoft Weibull++, SAP PM, IBM Maximo, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work draws on real asset functional analysis procedures, FMEA workshops and failure data analysis. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus a final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
