Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online learning on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so the programme fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Vector CANoe, Rohde & Schwarz EMC32, LS-DYNA, IPG CarMaker and Polarion, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures: an electromagnetic compatibility test plan for an electric vehicle, a cybersecurity and software update file, and a simulated Euro NCAP rating. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: UN R10, UN R100, UN R155, UN R156, UN R79, UN R152, The Road Vehicles (Approval) Regulations 2020, Euro NCAP assessment protocols.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of UN R10, UN R100, UN R155 and the Euro NCAP protocols applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Vector CANoe, Rohde & Schwarz EMC32, LS-DYNA, IPG CarMaker and Polarion, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A complete EU and UK compliance route for a target vehicle, including Euro NCAP strategy, test plan, schedule and budget, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
