Level 3/4 Autonomous Driving Testing Course
300-hour online course in level 3/4 autonomous driving testing. 6 modules covering UN Regulation R157 (ALKS), Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1426 (automated driving systems) and IPG CarMaker. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Distinguish the requirements of level 3 and level 4 automated driving.
Define the operational design domain (ODD) of an automated system.
Apply scenario-based testing methodologies.
Integrate simulation, HiL and physical testing within an X-in-the-loop strategy.
Plan proving ground and road tests in line with UN Regulation R157.
Build safety arguments combining ISO 26262 and ISO 21448.
Prepare a validation plan for a level 3 or level 4 system.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM Institute campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake period, which makes it compatible with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is IPG CarMaker, CARLA, dSPACE ASM, esmini, ROS 2, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real scenario-based simulation procedures, hardware-in-the-loop tests, and proving ground and open-road testing. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
