How you'll learn
The course is taught 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so it fits around your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. You work with ns-3, Atoll, Open5GS, Wireshark and Node-RED, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: small cell planning along an urban corridor, IoT architecture design with edge computing and evaluation of an urban 5G services pilot. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final capstone project.
Standards covered: 3GPP TS 23.501, ITU-R M.2083, Ley 11/2022 (General de Telecomunicaciones), ETSI GS MEC 003, Real Decreto 1066/2001, ISO/IEC 30141, ETSI EN 303 645, ETSI GS CIM 009 (NGSI-LD).
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
