Postgraduate Diploma in Chassis Vibrations and Isolation — studying from India
India is the world's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, with major production in Chennai, Pune, Gurugram, Manesar and Greater Noida. Companies such as Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India and Royal Enfield dominate the market, supported by a deep supplier base. Vehicle standards and emission norms are set by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, with testing and homologation support from the Automotive Research Association of India. Engineers work on engine development, chassis and frame design, electrification and quality validation for two-wheeled vehicles.
Fees for India: ₹137,000 (Indian Rupee), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

Questions from India
Do motorcycle engineering qualifications need approval from bodies in India?
Vehicle type approval and homologation in India involve the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and the Automotive Industry Standards (AIS) rules under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. SEIUM's qualification is private and not accredited by any national body, so it does not confer approval or certification. Employers decide how much it is worth to them.
Which employers in India hire for 2-wheeler engineering roles?
Major two-wheeler manufacturers, their component suppliers, and design and testing consultancies are the typical employers. Hiring focuses on specific technical skills and practical experience. A private qualification can add to a profile, but employers will judge it alongside your work history and their own requirements.
Is this course realistic for a working engineer in India, and what about English?
Yes, it is designed for online study, so you can work and study at the same time from anywhere in India. The course is taught in English, so you need reasonable English proficiency to follow it. Each student gets a technical tutor, and fees can be paid in instalments or covered by employer sponsorship.

How you'll learn
Delivered 100% online through the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Simcenter Testlab, Simcenter 3D, Ansys Mechanical, MSC Adams, ME’scope, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real experimental modal analysis procedures for frames and subframes, hand-arm vibration measurement on the road, and dynamic stiffness testing of bushings. Assessment is continuous across modules, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Apply the fundamentals of structural dynamics to a motorcycle chassis.
Identify the sources of engine, transmission and road vibration.
Carry out experimental and operational modal analyses.
Simulate the vibration response of the frame using finite elements.
Design isolation and damping solutions.
