Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine the programme with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original texts and applied exercises. The working software is Guidewire ClaimCenter, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Microsoft Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Cases are studied on real procedures for selecting cover for an international shipment, determining declared value and managing a claim file. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: Institute Cargo Clauses (A), (B) and (C) 2009, CMR Convention, Montreal Convention 1999, Incoterms 2020.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of the Institute Cargo Clauses 2009, the CMR Convention and the Montreal Convention applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Guidewire ClaimCenter, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Microsoft Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:Complete insurance programme for the transport of a high-value vehicle or collection, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
