Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB/Simulink, Vector CANoe, Microsoft Power BI and Geotab MyGeotab, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Procedures are studied on real cases of field validation of TPMS sensors, integration of central tyre inflation systems and analysis of fleet pressure data. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final project.

Standards covered: UNECE Regulation R141, ISO 21750, UNECE Regulation R64, ETRTO Standards Manual, SAE J1939, IEC 60529.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of UNECE R141, ISO 21750 and UNECE R64 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:MATLAB/Simulink, Vector CANoe, Microsoft Power BI, Geotab MyGeotab, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete pressure control system for a defined off-road vehicle, from TPMS selection and CTIS design to validation and maintenance plans, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Vehicle and pressure requirements
Define the vehicle, its use and the target pressures by terrain, load and speed.
TPMS selection
Select and configure TPMS sensors, thresholds and alarms for the application.
CTIS design
Design the central tyre inflation system, from compressor to wheel valves.
Control strategy and validation
Develop the control logic in Simulink and plan bench and field validation.
Final project
Integrate the system with a maintenance plan into a documented report, reviewed by your tutor.
