Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so the programme fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR Microwave Office, CST Studio Suite and ANSYS HFSS, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: design and measurement of a microwave filter, assessment of field exposure in an equipment room and a radiated immunity test. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: IEEE C95.1-2019, ICNIRP Guidelines 2020, Directive 2013/35/EU, MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464C, IEC 61000-4-3, STANAG 2345.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of IEEE C95.1-2019, the ICNIRP 2020 guidelines, Directive 2013/35/EU and MIL-STD-461G applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR Microwave Office, CST Studio Suite and ANSYS HFSS, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a microwave system project, from requirements and RF architecture to component design, simulation, compatibility analysis and safety assessment, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
