Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SolidWorks, MoTeC M1 Tune, GT-SUITE and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures: calibration on a chassis dynamometer, engine bay thermal testing and noise measurement for the modification approval. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: Royal Decree 866/2010, Spanish Vehicle Modifications Manual, Regulation (EU) 2018/858, UNECE Regulation No. 85, UNECE Regulation No. 51, UNECE Regulation No. 10, FIA Appendix J.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Royal Decree 866/2010, the Vehicle Modifications Manual and UNECE Regulations No. 51 and 85 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:SolidWorks, MoTeC M1 Tune, GT-SUITE and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:A complete engine integration project for a chosen vehicle, from feasibility study to validation and the modification file, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
