Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Microsoft Power BI, Geotab MyGeotab, ArcGIS Pro and SAP S/4HANA, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for supply planning in remote operations, field fuel quality control and the design of temporary fuel farms. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: EN 590, EN 116, ADR 2025, Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX), ASTM D975, Royal Decree 2085/1994 (Spanish Petroleum Installations Regulation), ISO 4406, Directive 98/70/EC.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of EN 590, EN 116 and ADR 2025 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Microsoft Power BI, Geotab MyGeotab, ArcGIS Pro and SAP S/4HANA, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a fuel management plan for a remote operation, covering fuel selection, storage design, logistics, quality and HSE plans, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Operation and requirements
Define the remote operation, its environment and its fuel requirements.
Fuel and additive selection
Select fuels and additives suited to the climate of the operation.
Storage and logistics
Design the fuel storage and the supply and distribution plan.
Quality and HSE plans
Draw up the fuel quality plan and the safety and environmental plan.
Final project
Present the complete fuel management report, reviewed by your tutor.
