Course in Manual Transmissions for Agricultural Machinery
Online 300-hour course in manual transmissions for agricultural machinery. 6 modules covering OECD Code 2 (tractor performance testing), ISO 500-1 (rear power take-off of tractors) and KISSsoft. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Describe the architecture of a tractor's manual transmission.
Explain how clutches, synchronisers and the power take-off work.
Select the appropriate gear and engine speed for each agricultural task.
Plan preventive maintenance of the transmission and its lubricants.
Diagnose faults in the clutch, gear change and power take-off.
Carry out transmission repairs following the manufacturer's procedures.
Optimise fuel consumption through correct use of the transmission.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is KISSsoft, SolidWorks, MATLAB, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for dismantling tractor clutches and gearboxes, verifying the power take-off, and gear selection practice in field tasks. Assessment is continuous across modules, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
