ARP4761 Certification Course
Online course of 300 hours in ARP4761 certification, structured in 6 modules covering aviation safety assessment, functional hazard assessments, preliminary safety assessments, common cause and detailed analyses, and final assessment and certification, with an assigned technical tutor.
ARP4761 Certification Course — studying from Canada
Canada has a substantial aerospace sector, anchored in Montréal and Québec City, with major manufacturers and suppliers such as Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney Canada and CAE. Ontario's Greater Toronto and Ottawa regions host avionics, satellite and space technology firms, while the Canadian Space Agency coordinates national space programmes, including robotics for the International Space Station. Urban air mobility and drone operations are emerging under Transport Canada's regulatory framework. Engineers in this area typically work on airframe design, systems integration, certification and space mission support.
Fees for Canada: 1,150 CA$ (Canadian dollar), with instalments and employer sponsorship available.

Questions from Canada
Can I study while working full time in Canada?
Yes. All programmes are 100% online, and you can plan your study around your working schedule, with a dedicated technical tutor supporting your progress.
Do I need to attend campus or sit exams in person?
No. Programmes are delivered entirely online, and the final project is completed remotely with tutor guidance.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Understand the safety requirements for aircraft systems.
Carry out functional hazard assessments at aircraft and system level.
Build fault trees and calculate probabilities.
Apply common cause analyses: zonal, particular risks and common mode.
Produce FMEAs and failure modes and effects summaries.
Verify compliance with objectives in the final assessment.
Derive maintenance requirements from the safety analysis.

How you'll learn
Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine it with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Isograph Reliability Workbench, Ansys medini analyze, ReliaSoft BlockSim, Cameo Safety and Reliability Analyzer and PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures for fault tree analysis, preparation of functional hazard assessments and zonal analyses on digital mock-ups. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrated project.
Standards covered: SAE ARP4761 / EUROCAE ED-135, SAE ARP4761A, CS-25 (25.1309), AMC 25.1309, FAA AC 25.1309-1B, SAE ARP4754A, MIL-HDBK-217F and IEC 61025.
