4×4 Steering Configuration Course
The Home Charger Installation Course trains you in the safe and efficient installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in residential settings. It covers electricity, current regulations and the specific tools required. Learn about charger types, cabling, electrical protection and safety measures, ensuring installations that meet industry standards.
The course offers practice in fault diagnosis, installation checking and basic maintenance. It prepares you to obtain the necessary certifications and meet local requirements. It focuses on applying good practice and electrical safety to ensure customer satisfaction and the durability of the charging system.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain the specific demands placed on steering in an off-road vehicle.
Measure and interpret toe, camber, caster and scrub radius.
Evaluate the condition of ball joints, links and steering boxes.
Compare hydraulic and electric power assistance in 4×4 vehicles.
Analyse the consequences of lifts and larger-diameter tyres.
Carry out the setup and testing of the vehicle after a modification.
Document a steering modification in line with regulations.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to fit the programme around work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Hunter HawkEye Elite, CarSim, MATLAB, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for measuring alignment dimensions, steady-state turning and lane-change tests, and checks of play and ball joints. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
